On 15 & 16 May, CORE attended the 2024 Disaster Expo Europe in Messe, Frankfurt. The project was one of the event's partners alongside the World Bank, the International Fund for Animal Welfare, and the European Space Agency.
SAHER Europe, the Italian Red Cross and the University of Applied Sciences for Public Affairs in Bavaria represented CORE as part of the keynote speakers program. We were pleased to see a very high attendance to the session with 68 delegates joining the keynote speakers slot. The session was an opportunity to present the results and lessons learned from the comparative analysis of disaster response, recovery and resilience gathered from the seven disaster scenarios that were selected as case studies by the CORE Project. Throughout the two days of the event our project was present at a dedicated booth to answer questions and engage in discussion with interested visitors.
In view of the Disaster Expo Europe, CORE also produced a policy brief outlining the key recommendations that had emerged from the comparative analysis task. The policy brief is accessible to the public at THIS LINK
The Expo in Frankfurt was an opportunity to connect with key leaders in the field of disaster preparedness and management as well as exploring cutting-edge solutions in the field.
